Boaz hired as PHCC women’s soccer head coach

July 1, 2021

PHCC Athletic Director Brian Henderson announced that Grant Boaz has officially been named the fourth head coach in PHCC women’s soccer program history.

“As a PHCC alumnus and former student-athlete, Grant is an excellent fit to lead our women’s soccer program,” Henderson said. “He’s already stepping up and showing excitement and passion for the recruiting and developing the Lady Pat’s program. He has earned this opportunity to help build the next chapter of women’s soccer here at PHCC.”

No stranger to the area or to PHCC athletics, Boaz graduated from Martinsville High School before joining the PHCC Men’s Soccer team in Fall 2013. He received his Associate in Business Administration from PHCC in 2015 and his Bachelor’s in Sports Management from North Carolina State University in 2018.

“It is an honor to be named the next head coach of the PHCC women’s soccer team,” Boaz said. “My experiences coaching at different levels, recruiting, building relationships, and developing players will serve me well in this new role.”

Over the last few years, Boaz has held several coaching positions including Assistant Coach for Ferrum, Head Coach at Carlisle, and Assistant Coach for the PHCC men’s soccer team. Boaz also has worked with the PYSL youth soccer league and spent time assisting the Martinsville High School soccer team.

Boaz will begin officially July 1 and will be actively recruiting Lady Pats to compete in Region X. For more information on PHCC women’s soccer, please contact Athletic Director Brian Henderson at bhenderson@patrickhenry.edu.
