Franklin County’s own has a habit of winning championships. Coach Wade
begins his second season at the helm of the Patriots Basketball team.
In his first season as head coach the team finished 17-11 with a third
place regular season finish. His Patriot team lost 5 contests by a
combined 7 points, which only made Coach Wade look forward to
redemption in his second year. The 2010-2011 season will be his first
year with his own recruiting class, while the 09-10 season produced
one First Team All-Region selection and saw four players move on to
four-year institutions.
In 2008-2009 he was an assistant with the team that finished 24-6 with
a season high ranking of number 11 in the country, while winning the
regular season championship going 18-0 in its inaugural season of
NJCAA play. Wade joined Coach Moore for 2 years as his only assistant
coach and was a huge contributing factor to the team winning the VCCS
state championship in their first year. Prior to coming to PHCC, Coach
Wade was an assistant coach at Notre Dame Academy in Middleburg, VA
where they won the VIS State Championship in his only year there.
Coach Wade had a strong career as a shooting guard at Franklin County
where he received numerous All-Conference awards. He then advanced his
career at Mount Aloysius, a D-III school now but was a D-I Junior
College when he played there. Coach Wade is involved in all aspects of
the program but concentrates on individual skill development and
recruiting. |
