Since their battle against Bluefield College on September 17, 2014, the PHCC Men’s Soccer team hasn’t faced defeat.  They are currently on a seven game winning streak, with a tough match against Spartansburg Methodist Wednesday, October 8th.

With a record of 11-2, the men aren’t unfamiliar with a winning streak.  They began the season winning their first four games until Louisburg, a conference foe, gave the Pats their first loss of the season.  This current streak has seen the Pats gain wins against Cape Fear CC, Spartanburg Methodist, Wake Tech CC, and USC-Salkehatchie.

Now again entrenched in a winning streak, PHCC is poised to climb the rankings with a win against SMC.

They also hope to continue the offensive firepower they have shown heading into the last half of the season.  Daniel Maldanado and Sami Tittanen are leading the Pats with 10 goals each.

The Lady Patriots Soccer team is looking to get back on the winning track they were on early in the season.  With a 7-5 overall record, they are currently facing a three game losing streak.  On October 7, 2014, they will be looking to break this streak away against Warren Wilson College in non-conference action.

Earlier in the season, the Lady Pats showed teamwork and consistent play, producing a string of wins.  With wins against Wake Tech CC, USC-Salkehatchie, Frederick CC, and CCBC-Cantonsville from Ohio, the Lady Pats had won six in a row.  This streak was broken September 28 against Louisburg who the Lady Pats look to get a win against on October 15, 2014 on the fields of the Smith River Sports Complex.

Leading the Lady Patriots is Larissa Ayo with 12 goals, Monica Diaz with 10 goals, and Tovin Saleh with 9 goals and 10 assists.  Taylor Horner has also done a great job defending the net with 91 saves and 3 shutouts in 12 games.
