Men’s Soccer Opens Season with 3-0 Win

MARTINSVILLE, VA– The Patrick Henry Community College men’s soccer team burst out of the gate with a 3-0 win over USC-Salkehatchie in the Patriots’ season opener on Sunday afternoon in South Carolina. Freshman Luis Vidal, Aaron Valeriano, and James Westfield scored for the Pats. Westfield was also credited with an assist along with Melvin Hernandez and Chauency Gwaikolo. Fellow freshman Tony Allsop made huge saves to pick up his first shutout of the year.

The Pats return to action on Friday, September 2, when they play Hagerstown Community College as part of a weekend tournament hosted by Potomac State College in West Virginia. Kickoff for the game is set for 7 p.m.
