P&H Men’s Golf Opens Fall Season at Sandhills CC Invitational

PINEHURST, NC – The Patrick & Henry Community College Men’s Golf team kicked off the 2021 fall season in the Sandhills CC Invitational at Longleaf Golf Club earlier this week, marking the first team match for the Pats since the 2018-2019 campaign.

Returning sophomore Kolby Brown (Chesapeake, VA) led the squad on day one, finishing with a 91. Freshmen Lincoln Rose (Stuart, VA) and Cameron Robertson (Martinsville, VA) saw their first collegiate action, finishing with scores of 101 and 102 respectively.

Adam Martin (Martinsville, VA) contributed a 118 as the Pats shot a combined 412 for the first round to wrap the first day of competition.

On day two, the Pats shaved an impressive 21 strokes off of their round one scores. Three of the four players improved their individual scores as Brown finished with an 83, Robertson dropped 10 strokes with a 92 and Rose posted a 103. Martin also saw a five stroke improvement to 113 for a day two team total of 391.

P&HCC finished 6th of 6 teams and will return to the course on September 27-28 at Quail Ridge Golf Club in Sanford, NC as Central Carolina CC will host.
