Softball completes 3-1 weekend

The Patrick Henry Community College Patriots softball team went 3-1 over Friday and Saturday to improve to 4-6 on the season.  On Friday, the Patriots traveled to Methodist University and earned the1965026_729424560422499_56051046_n sweep against the Monarchs.  The Patriots took Game 1 by a score of 3-2 behind a complete game from sophomore pitcher Samantha Barton.  Barton allowed just one earned run and contributed offensively with 2 RBI’s.  The Patriots took Game 2 by a 7-5 score.  Barton was 4-4 in the Game 2 victory.

On Saturday the Patriots split a double-header in their home opener with Richard Bland College.  After falling 9-1 in Game 1, the Patriots battled back with a 6-2 win in Game 2.  Morgan Revels, Becca Hicks and Mary Skillman each had two hits in the win.  Skillman and Kelsey Meadows drove in two runs each
