Patriots Set Records at Finn Pincus Invitational

Salem, VA – The Patrick & Henry Community College indoor track program delivered a strong performance on January 16 at the Finn Pincus Invitational, hosted by Roanoke College, highlighted by multiple personal bests, national rankings, and two new school records.

In the 60-meter dash, Liam Bredamus clocked a time of 7.73 seconds, finishing 42nd overall. His performance now ranks fourth all-time in P&HCC program history. Mason Gamez-Turpin followed with a time of 8.14 seconds, placing 45th overall and earning a spot eighth all-time on the Patriots' indoor record list.

The Patriots made history in the 3000-meter run, as Tyress Wiltz posted a time of 10:24.50, finishing 14th overall. Wiltz's performance set a new P&HCC school record and currently ranks 57th nationally in the NJCAA.

On the women's side, Brittany Cruz also etched her name into the record books in the 3000-meter run, finishing 19th overall with a time of 13:29.17. Cruz's effort established a new school record and earned a No. 31 national ranking in the NJCAA.

The Patriots will return to action on January 30 when they compete at the Bast-Cregger Invitational, also hosted by Roanoke College.
