Patriots Ready to Compete for Region 10 Title This Weekend at Surry
DOBSON, N.C. — The Patrick & Henry Community College softball team is set to compete in the NJCAA Region 10 Division III Softball Tournament this weekend, hosted by Surry Community College at Fisher River Park.
The two-day tournament, scheduled for May 1–2, will feature a three-team format including Patrick & Henry, Surry, and Caldwell Community College. With a trip to the next round on the line, the Patriots will look to continue their success against familiar Region 10 opponents.

Day 1 – Friday, May 1
- Game 1 (11:00 a.m.): Surry vs. Patrick & Henry
- Game 2 (Approx. 1:30 p.m. or 30 minutes after Game 1): Surry vs. Caldwell
- Game 3 (Approx. 4:00 p.m. or 30 minutes after Game 2): Patrick & Henry vs. Caldwell
Day 2 – Saturday, May 2
Championship play will depend on Friday's results, with games beginning at 12:00 p.m. and a potential final game at 2:30 p.m. if necessary.
The tournament follows a round-robin format on day one, with championship scenarios determined by team records. If all three teams finish 1-1, the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds will play for a chance to advance to the championship game against the No. 1 seed.
Prior to tournament play, student-athletes and coaches will take part in the annual Region 10 softball social on Thursday evening, where All-Region teams and postseason awards will be announced.
Patrick & Henry enters the weekend looking to add another chapter to one of the nation's most successful NJCAA Division III programs. The Patriots captured the 2024 NJCAA Division III National Championship and followed it with a national runner-up finish in 2025, while maintaining a top-five national ranking over the past three seasons.
