Patriots Earn At-Large Bid to NJCAA Division III Softball National Championship
MARTINSVILLE, VA — Patrick & Henry Community College Softball is headed back to the national tournament.
The Patriots officially earned the tournament's at-large selection for the 2026 NJCAA Division III Softball National Championship after compiling a 32-18 overall record and continuing another strong postseason run against top Region 10 competition.
P&HCC enters the national tournament with a 32-18 overall record after battling through another highly competitive Region 10 schedule and postseason. The Patriots will now travel to Carrier Park Field of Dreams in DeWitt, New York, the host site of the 2026 NJCAA Division III Softball World Series. They will open play against No. 3 seed Joliet Junior College (Ill.) on Wednesday, May 20 at 2 p.m. ET.
P&HCC joins a talented national championship field that includes Corning (N.Y.), Erie (N.Y.), North Dakota State College of Science, Joliet (Ill.), Caldwell (N.C.), Suffolk (N.Y.), and RCSJ-Gloucester (N.J.).
The national tournament appearance continues a historic stretch for the Patriots program, which captured the 2024 NJCAA Division III National Championship before finishing as the national runner-up in 2025. With this year's selection, P&HCC will make its third consecutive appearance on the national stage.
Head Coach Robbi Campbell said the Patriots are excited for another opportunity to compete among the nation's top teams.
"We're extremely proud to continue representing Patrick & Henry on the national level," Campbell said. "This group has faced adversity, stayed together, and continued to compete every single day. Earning an at-large bid speaks to the body of work this team put together throughout the season."
Tournament dates, location details, seedings, and bracket information for the 2026 NJCAA Division III Softball National Championship will be announced by the NJCAA at a later date.
