Three Patriots Earn NJCAA Division III Softball National All-Tournament Honors in East Syracuse

EAST SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Patrick & Henry Community College softball standouts Laura Brown, Lily Carola, and Sierra Custer were recognized on the national stage this week, earning NJCAA Division III Softball National All-Tournament Team honors following the Patriots' appearance at the 2026 NJCAA Division III Softball World Series in East Syracuse, New York.

Brown, a sophomore outfielder from Verona, Virginia, was one of P&HCC's most consistent offensive performers throughout the tournament. She finished the week batting .426 while delivering multiple clutch performances at the plate, including a three-hit, three-RBI outing in the Patriots' opening-round victory over Joliet.

Freshman Sierra Custer, a catcher/utility player from Grottoes, Virginia, turned in one of the top offensive performances of the entire tournament. Custer batted .556 across four games and provided key production in the middle of the Patriots' lineup throughout the national tournament run.

In the circle, sophomore pitcher Lily Carola of Union, West Virginia, was dominant against some of the nation's top competition. Carola posted a 1.46 ERA over 14.1 innings pitched while allowing just three earned runs and striking out 23 batters during the tournament. She opened the World Series with a complete-game shutout victory against Joliet, recording 12 strikeouts in the win.

"I'm incredibly proud of all three of them and what they accomplished on the national stage," said Patrick & Henry head coach Robbi Campbell. "They competed with confidence, toughness, and heart all week long. To see Laura, Sierra, and Lily recognized among the best players in the tournament is a reflection of the work they've put in all season and the way they represented our program."

The trio played a major role in helping the Patriots earn an at-large bid to the NJCAA Division III Softball World Series and continue one of the most successful stretches in program history.

The 2026 appearance marked Patrick & Henry's third consecutive trip to the NJCAA Division III Softball World Series. The Patriots captured the NJCAA Division III National Championship in 2024 before finishing as national runner-up in 2025. P&HCC concluded the 2026 season with 32 victories and another appearance on the national stage.
