Women’s Soccer Advances

LANCASTER, S.C. – The Lady Patriots’ soccer team kept their season alive by rallying to defeat USC-Lancaster in the first round of the Region X Conference Tournament.

After trailing 2-0 at the end of the first half, the Lady Patriots stormed back in the second half to tie the game with scores by Christine Harris and Tovin Saleh. After two scoreless overtime periods, the Lady Patriots sealed the victory with sudden death penalty kicks, with Taylor Horner scoring the first and Kelsie Nash scoring the winning kick.

The women’s soccer team will advance to the second round of the Region X Conference Tournament and will face #1 seed Cape Fear. The game will take place at noon on Saturday, October 31, at Cape Fear Community College.
